Help!!!!! Have Fuel In My Oil.

I Was Driving Around And When I Stopped Somebody Said Your Leaking Something. I Found Oil Leaking From The Crankcase Relief Valve. I Took It To The Shop And They Said That The Injector Seals Were Probably Bad. So They Replaced All The Seals And Put On New Copper Washers. I Have Ats Stage 4 200hp Injectors. Drove It Home And It Filled The Cranck Case Again. Im Not Sure If The Head Is Cracked, It Has Been Fire Ringed And Big Valves. Maybe The Cylinder Is Fried? I Dont Know What To Do?

Most likely a crack injector.

who was it that did the work ?? do they know diesels or/ CR's well ?
  • cracked injector and /or tips
  • connector tubes not seated properly
are 2 big reason to get fuel in the oil. Were the tubes replaced when they did the work ?

btw... I wouldn't drive it anywhere. Have it towed if necessary.

X2 on the cracked injector take the valve cover off and start the truck and let it idle and look to see which injector is leaking it will either smoke around the injector that is leaking or it will through fuel to the hood like mine did when that happened to mine. do not drive the truck like that

TritonT is right on. I would suspect a cracked body on one of the injectors or a leaky tube.

Other sources for this not mentioned above are a leaky cp3 seal (not likely unless you just did a R&R on it) and there is a little check ball toward the top of the injector body that is covered by the solenoid shroud. High pressure has a tendency to blow that little ball out sometimes and that will cause you to make oil.

Alpine Offroad And Performance. They Dont Know What To Do. They Call Ats Diesel For Advice. They Are A Bolt On Performance Shop. I Think I Am Paying Them To Learn. We Took It To Dodge And They Checked The Individual Injector Pressures And Said They Were All At 160ml. So Maybe Something Else?

When You Removed The Valve Cover And Started The Truck, Did It Shoot Oil Everywhere?????? So Was It The Injector That Was The Problem????

It will shoot fuel everywhere if it is a cracked injector body, depending on where it cracked. It may just mist slightly, you may not see it at all if it is just dribbling up from a bad o-ring. If it is the check ball I described above, you may not see it at all. Of course, the cp3 seal you wouldn't see either unless you removed the cover and looked for it specifically. Sometimes these can be hard to trace. If it is a cracked tip, it is extra fuel washing down the cylinder wall and you won't see it.

it will throw oil everywhere if you rev it up but with it just idling it will not throw but maybe a couple drops but it will show which one is leaking i have had this happen twice once the injector would spray to the hood the other just smoked out around the silonid (spelling) but dont touch the injectors while running becuase there is a enough amprage there to kill you if you touch both posts on the injectors
