Help!!!! Got her back from ATS

Got the pick-up back from ATS, ran like a champ till i discovered the bolts that hold the pully to the crankshaft were loose andand the pully was about ready to fly off. I tightned them up ran fine till they came loose again. Are these sopposed to be "loc tite" on them? If so what color red blue?????

Are you talking about the vibration damper?

They shouldn't need any loctite on them. Maybe it was kind of cocked when you tightened them. I would suggest taking the belt off and then tightening the bolts. When I did my 03 I used a big long ratchet and hit it with a 3lb hammer to tighten them.......

Torque the bolts to 165NM each with a torque wrench. Make sure you use something to keep the engine from turning over.
No loctite needed...just correct torque specs.

So, are you trying to say mine may not have had the right amount of torque with my procedure?!?!?!

Probably not....
I don't gamble with critical engine part torque specs.

Surely you mean you don't gamble... I hope...

As another option, my FSM says 40 N-M plus 60 degrees.

I didn't gamble with mine either. I hit it 3 or 4 times to make sure it was at least 40 ftlbs......

Of course although I really did do mine this way, you should heed the correct advise and use a torque wrench..... I'm just a rebel and like to do things my own way......

Another question about the Fluidampr. Can you guys get you belt on and off with it on? I couldn't get the belt on with the fluidamapr on. I had to loosen it up a little and tilt it then put the belt on then tighten the dampner.
