Help with Gauge selections
I need some help from you pro's. I'm ready to order gauges. I want good quality gauges with white faces and match the green
backlight at night. I also need some advice on sensors for Pyro, trans, and boost. When you order gauges do you get everything you need to install?
I decided on the Autometer cubby bezel for location which houses
3X 2 1/16" dia gauges.
SO !! what do you guys recommend. I want a real trans sensor and will install in the test port on my 48RE. Boost, do you get a
boost bolt? and where do you tap in to monitor boost. Also, Pyro
I think I will go pre turbo. Is the pyro unit basically the same
regardless of gauge type ? Last, best place to order online.
Thanks

I went with the Di-pricol gauges. Closest thing out there to the guage cluster in the truck.
You have to order the boost bolt as an extra, I just drilled and tapped the air horn on mine. One the pyro I would think most of the gauge manufacture use a simular thermo-couple (not sure if it is a type K or P) , melting point of thermo-couple should be around 2500 degrees. I order my gauge set from Diesel Power Products here is the address to their web-site.

I have been really happy with mine over the last year.
