I bet if the A325 or A327 or whatever was ground smooth of the bolt head...you would not see any more marks.

The rubber is thick...way thick.

40 PSI seems high too...for normal driving. Not that has anything to do with the contact.

Yeah - the bags usually are the most durable part of an air suspension!

Not more durable than the metal mount though.

So correct me if I am reading this wrong, even your setup with the 3.0 shocks are not enough shock too prevent the bags from getting marked by the brackets?
3.0's + Carli airbags = Marks on bags
2.25's + Carli air bags = Marks on bags
Come on bob, your opinion used to matter and have some creditability in the diesel community. We used too look to you to call things on how they are. Now it’s Carli all day and everyday.

I would like to know what can be done (if anything) about this...I could see that a couple years down the road it could cause an issue and I am building this truck with longevity in mind. I basically have the same suspension setup (which really doesnt matter) and was going to need some bags for some heavy (to me anyway) towing in a couple months. Did you ever contact Carli about it? If so what did they say?

I don't remember saying there was anything wrong with the bags touching the bolt. The way the bags(any bags) work is they wrap arond the bottom-at full compression, considerably.Flying a 7-8klb truck I use all my travel, custom springs, hydro bumps 3"shocks air bags..................you can still use it up.You just have to raise the speed

You will see the mark in the dust on the bag but it will not matter. No sharp edges no big deal.

Not blaming..........but I would not put lighter than oem springs and small shocks on a heavier than stock truck then hammer it.
