Help! Can't find shocks for stock 2004, 2 wheel drive.
I guess it's just because the truck is so new but I can't find them on the internet and local places don't have a listing either. Would they be the same as shocks for a 2003? I was hoping for some Monroe Reflex shocks but if anyone can lead me to a good shock that will fit, I'll take just about anything! Thanks.

I have that same problem also. Had a couple shops tell me 03 stuff will work and wanted to order them for me. But they were also not to willing to be held to it if they did not fit.
Also looking for the OEM size BFG AT's in Load Range E's. Cant seem to find them either.
Guess I'll have to keep waiting.

Don't worry 01350banshee, we 2WD guys will get through this! Anyway, I contacted Strano parts via emial and I'll post once I get a reply from them.
BTW, thanks for the link Shovelhead.

I installed some KYB's on the front and they have a listing for our truck. I like them, but the rebound seems like it could be improved some. Will install Bilstein shocks once avalible.

Really only KYB has a specific listing for the 2003+ 2WD trucks at this time. Bilstein is still showing them as "in development", and a number of folks here are watching for them and check with Bilstein regularly. I'm quite sure when released, I'll be very busy.
Here's the rub. The KYB's, aren't all that great. I think Cummins600 hit the nail on the head when he stated they lack rebound, becauce that tends to be the M.O. for most KYB's. I'm not sure which KYB's Cummins600 has (GR-2 or Gas-A-Just), but in all honesty when I only have options within those two. I usually opt for the GR-2's. I've never been near reasonably happy with the Gas-A-Justs, and at least GR-2's are a relatively good match for new OEM shocks.
I'd recommend either waiting for the Bilstein's. Or if in DIRE need of shocks, use the less expensive GR-2's until the Bilstein's are released. And hey, if you are happy with the KYB's, you can certainly keep them. We've been trying to wait on the Bilstein's, and as such I do not keep much stock on the KYB's. We have no GR-2's and only front Gas-A-Justs at this time, but they can be ordered in.
They run roughly $40-50 each depending on which KYB you opt for. Can't give exact pricing or I'd be breaking the rules. But that's a ball-park that can get you thinking about whether you want to hang on for Bilstein's, or do something in the meantime......

Thanks!
Thank you Sam Strano! I finally got a solid answer about the shock absorber situation for a 2004 2wd. I need some shocks pretty bad so it looks like the GR-2s for me.
Only one local place said they could get some Monroe Reflex shocks for my truck, but they would have been $80-$90 each so I said "no thanks" really quick.
Finally, things are looking up...

Glad I could be of assistance.
Feel free to give us a ring. I'm leaving for a couple of national autocross events in the morning, towing with me 2500 as intended, however the shop will be open (we work 11-7 ET for the west coast folks and we like it better too).
Ask for Arlyn, you can tell her you were "talking" to me and what you are in search of. She can give you the pricing and the an idea of how long for the shocks to come in (which shouldn't be too long assuming KYB has them in stock).
