I have been lurking for a while now and now felt it was time to make my jump in the pond. I am looking at modding the truck a little nothing extreme, just a little more HP.TQ and better MPG. I am going to get a True Flow Air Filter and need some advice on exhaust. I have spent the last two nights searching through old posts on exhaust. I know I have a 4in tail pipe from the muffler and I have 3.5in from the turbo. I, like most want a true 4in exhaust setup. So I know I need a 4in DP, is the consensus still that for the best bang for your buck I need get the 4in elbow off the turbo as well. Any advice is always appreciated. If anyone can also point me in the right direction for the best price that would much appreciated as well.

I'm not an expert on your year truck but I'll try. I believe you can buy the down pipe and the exhaust adapter (turbo to downpipe) off of a new truck (I'm pretty sure, again not 100%) Then just use any exhaust kit and it will be 4 inch back.

Air filter and exhaust will help keep down your EGT's. Looking into what kind of power you want I'd go with an EZ or a XZT (quadzilla) something that adds 65HP and 120lbs of torque is plenty. Any more than that and you get into risking your tranny or clutch.

If you have more questions let me know. Try a search on 3.5" downpipes, cause a lot of people have done the swap.
