Helix 2, CFM and an ATS ex manifold which turbo would you do?

I was leaning towards a 62/12 since i tow so much and on steep grades where my old 62/14 on my 12v used to leave me struggling to regain spool at higher elevations

BUT i got a little motivated this weekend and slid the Helix 2 cam that i have had in my garage for the last year into the poor ol 03 305/555. didnt need it but i just couldnt resist since i ve been hanging onto it with the intention of doing another set of twins someday..... but now thats not gonna happen at least not to this truck......but i hate having hardware thats not intalled.

So with the CFM intake that i just ordered. the ATS manifold thats in my garage and the Helix 2 that is now in my motor matched up to the smarty and a Con OFE .....

Im thinking the added air flow characteristics will make the 62/14 spool like the 62/12 would have with stock manifolds and no cam.... which the 62/12 seems to be pretty darned close to the spool up of the HY35...... which it seems either of the modified S300's would yield a pretty nice balaced combo.

BTW with the intank conversion pump i still havent lost fuel pressure at WOT.... i have 5psi on SW#5 aftermarket turbo and stock injectors program planning on running SW#7 already have a Glacier in the garage, same thing its just a matter of intalling it.

I would have to agree if you have enough fuel the turbo should light fast the newer trucks have a lot more fuel pressure than the 12v trucks so the turbo should be a lot more responsive

I agree with the above, I believe I will be going that direction too. Nothing a stack can't take care of.

I would think of the 62/13/65 "SS" if it would fit into the budget.

John, have the good people at HTT ironed out the problems people were having with the wastegate opening prematurely?

Thanks
Ben

I believe so, we have a few of our own tricks that we are doing but it's based on your combo. If someone has a problem with theirs just give us a call.

62/13 with a 65 that sounds like an interesting combo...

the ss housing housing does not add any bling unless you get it polished. The benefit is better spool up from it being more thermally efficient by retaining the heat and aiding in spool up. The other benefit is the extremely large wastegates bypass more exhaust gasses than the standard housing allowing the motor to breathe better. I have been very happy with mine.
