Headlights Low and High beams - Poor
I feel the headlights design on the 03 I traded and the 05 I have now isn't that great. While the lowbeams seem ok ( have to keep that outer lens real clean at all times) I kinda hate the high beams. They just seem soft and weak. Anyone agree, and if so, any bulb change out That may help out?

I agree, the high beams seem weak and appear to only light up the ditches.
Not sure about a bulb though...would like to address that. My lights need to be adjusted too. After adding the T rex/Kore suspension and raising the front 2.5" it made the lighting worse...especially when loaded. If it wasn't so cold I would adjust them myself.

I'm running two sets of PIAA's and a pair of Lightforce up front too.
The Lightforce are just a bit too bright.
One set of PIAA's are fog and the other are driving.
The driving lights are nice...the fogs..so so.
I also have different lens covers for the lightforce.
I will look into the silverstars and adjust the factory lights.

I have the PIAA Extreme whites in the headlight and foglights and a set of PIAA 510's (fog) on the bull bar. I'm looking at getting a light bar on which I'll mount 4 KC 150W Daylighters to light the road up. I miss being able to light up the road like I've been able to...

My lighting stunk until I added the brite box with fog light control. It lights up the high beams, low beams, and fogs when the high is engaged. Made a world of difference!!!
Now the sad part -- Today I removed my fog lights to install my road armor bumpers. I guess it's time for some PIAA lights to run through the brite box. After that project, my high beam switch will engage the high and low filaments as well as a pair of PIAA fogs and a pair of PIAA driving lights.

Tell me more about this brite box. Thats exactly what I'm after. I had started a thread back in Oct about how my headlights suck. By the amount of replies, ALOT of us agree they stink.

I just installed this new britebox with fog control and performed the foglite "fogzilla" modification. I am now VERY impressed with the amount of light The new fog control forces the fogs on in high beam mode (even if fog switch is off). Furthermore, the fogzilla modification substitutes the OEM foglite bulb with a highbeam bulb which nearly doubles the illumination from the foglights alone. Bottom line is with the britebox and fogzilla modifications, there is nearly 3 times the ammount of light comming from your OEM fixtures in highbeam mode ... I highly recommend!!

Does any one have any ideas on increasing the light out put on just the low beam/fogs? I have had the silverstars installed since the truck was new, it just seems that these stock lights do not project out very well. I rarely use my high beams so the britebox would be a waste of money for me and I'll be converting my fogs over to the high beam bulbs soon. Has any one installed a painless wiring light kit yet, the kind that draws power straight from the battery instead of through the light switch?

I aimed both my lights and my fogs up a little. It helped out quite a bit and I've only been flashed by other drivers two times in the past several months. Much less than my Chevy. People flashed me in it all the time and they were aimed to spec.
