From the look of it....It doesn't appear that the drunk was at fault in this case. It looks like he turned left infront of the drunk. Don't know how this will pan out, but from the looks of it, he should have to pay for the drunks car. Hate to be the guy that says it.......

He was intoxicated, end of discussion.

This is why I have my truck insured for 30k more than the truck value because if I totalled out I would be so screwed. Sorry about the truck buddy I would be so mad if someone hit me I would end up in jail too.

drunk not at fault???

How can anyone say the drunk was not at fault? Even if he really wasn't, he was drunk so that means he is at fault....
IMO it is well worth it to wreck a sharp truck (hopefully insured) just to get one more drunk driver off the road.... What if he woulda hit an old lady in her caddy, she may not be here today. The point is it really makes me hot when people try to defend someone that was driving drunk.

The drunk driver is always at fault. I don't know how anyone with a clue could look at that picture and determine fault.....if it was a 30mph zone....if the drunk pulled out and passed a car. The lights might not be turned on.....a typical situation with a drunk. If you drink and you drive you are definitely gonna pay if something bad happens and eventually it will. I got stopped twice this year ... my cousins idea of a funny (he's a city cop).....I blew 0.03 and 0.01 (0.05 is a 24hour license loss and a big insurance surcharge and 0.08 is a minimum 1 year no license at least $1000 fine and one day in jail) If my truck still had a commercial plate I would have lost my license as there is a zero tolerance for alcohol with commercial vehicles. I personally feel really bad for a guy who obviously loves his truck and has invested alot in the wheels and everything only to have an idiot steal his ride by poor judgement. ks

I would have got out and beat that guy till I went to jail.
If the drunk was going 65mph, and the speed limit was 35, and there was a cruve before that point in the road, the Dodge driver could have been at a complete stop, looked, and then went. Never would have seen him coming.

Reguardless, I feel bad about the truck, and I am glad no one was hurt...

Well obviously if you get in an accident while drinking or drunk you will get a dui but that dosen't mean that the intoxicated caused the accident.

I agree, but maybe if the guy was sober it could have been prevented.
