home made twins?
I have an 05 6spd and was wondering if somehow i got hold of another holset turbo off a junk yard truck that was in good shape that if i could make it fit with my single turbo in my truck to make twins? I doubt it would work but i figured it would be cheaper than buying twins anyway what do yall think?

Best left to the experts, the smaller feeds the larger for a step up on boost the larger doesn't start building boost till a certain boost is made by the smaller. I can get 36psi from one Holset 3 (stock), if ya want more try a different wastegate. But don't for get the intercooler and related hoses. They both pop! The genius that thought up the idea of putting plastic ends on an intercooler should have been shot!

I was thinking of rebuilding my stock Holset from my 'o5 and running it compound with my SPS66. What does anybody think of this set-up. Has anyone put one of these together yet? Besides fabricating the intake and exhaust piping. Do you think this set-up will hold up to the 750hp to 800hp range or should I go with a different smaller turbofor the top turbo. I Love the SPS66 except for the lag, but when it lights, it is like hitting nitrous all overagain. I have a bullet proof Intercooler on the way, a new Comp Suncoast tranny to handle this, because my 6th ATS finally said bye! (Torque Converter seized)
Well Sorry for rambling, but please let me know about using that stock turbo as a top turbo!

Compounding a stock turbo and SPS66 is not going to work that well. You need a bottom turbo with a much larger exhaust housing than the SPS66 to keep your drive pressures down. If you want a setup to handle 800hp, you are looking at something like a B1/B2 or SPS62/B2.
