h2o/meth installed w/ pics
i did the install last weekend, mostly in the dark so sorry for lack of detailed pics...
id say install time was about 3 hours, mostly spent fighting with the washer fluid bottle.
i installed a snow stage 2, i used 1 large nozel, one small (650/375 ml if i recall. )
controller got mounted in the typical top of the fuse block.
manifold came off drilled and taped for the 2 nozels and boost port.
chalange was where to mount the pump.. turns out theres just enough room to tuck it into the body mount...
worked out good. keeps every thing protected, the line from res to the pump is short and gravity fed, every thing is in easy access.
results: i used wally world winter blend fluid. it took some tuning to get rid of the rattle, and you can tell its not a quick clean shut off, but overall im happy. i did my best to load it down to see egts , ive got a hill about 3/4 mile long thats steep even by local standards (im guessing almost 8%). it seems like i saw almost a 200 deg drop , but bust climbed a few psi at the same time so that might have been a contributing factor. definetly feel the change.
only real gripe if you wana call it that is that for extended use you gota have a big tank. it comes w/ a 2 qt tank, the washer res is almost a 1.5gal, it go's fast.
im thinking if i was looking strictly for egt relife towing, id use 2 small nozels and strait h20. prob see as much or mayby more drop id think by not adding meth but droping nozel size.
i plan on welding in a bafel in my tool box and converting it into about a 10 gal tank.

i did , i just didnt go overkill. enough to seal, not enough to make a mess, or worry about plugging up stuff down the line. figured that was something i wouldnt need to put in the wright up.. then again comon sence isnt all that comon any more...

If you're looking for a larger tank, US Plastics sells the same 6gal (or is it 8gal) tank that Snow and Coolingmist use. They charge over $100 for it and you can buy them for about $20 with the cap from US Plastics.
On my last truck I installed the pump and tank inside the toolbox. Worked great and kept the pump clean and dry...but most importantly keeps vandals from spiking your solution.

Yeah my buddies here in Utah think I'm nuts, but I grew up in S. Florida where anything not bolted down will walk away. The odds some punk would even know what it is are pretty slim, but it only takes once to really mess you up.

I'd be worried about shooting meth without studs... That's just me. Straight water would be safer and cooler egts. Otherwise, great thread and good job. I just got my Devilsown setup, waiting to install....

Shurflo doesn't recommend using thread sealant or teflon tape for their pump housings - they're made with a thermoplastic designed to positively seal at system pressure with "dry" fittings.
