Hey Hoot,

My bro is about to set up a pair of H2's for his ride. He wants to have them powder coated afterwards. He will have them machined (we own a steel shop!)....

I am worried thaat the powder coat thickness may not work with your 121.5 mm measurement. I told him to do it anyways and lightley sand off the powder coat from the inside lip before install. What do you think?

Did you measure your OEM wheel centerbore? Where they SLT steel, ST Steel or aluminum?

I used a telescoping bore guage. Mine were the Aluminum premium wheels.

I don't know enough about powder coating to give you a good answer but i probably would mask the bore.

I never said the holes or the countersunk "conics" are out of spec or will not do the job. All I'm saying is I don't believe it's right to tell people to use the hole saw method just because you did or others did it and it works. It could be an issue later on... can you guarantee it won't and guarantee that hubcentric is not important? It's irresponsible, period. We're not talking about car wax here.

Now we are on to english lessons, I am up for it.

Convex, Having a surface or boundary that curves or bulges outward, as the exterior of a sphere.

Concave, Curved like the inner surface of a sphere

Convex is actually the antonym for concave. I am using it to refer to the tapper on the lug nuts and the tapper on the lug nut contact area on the wheel.

This information is provided by the online dictionary, www.dictionary.com

Point? as one sphere is placed inside another the wheel is forced to be centered. Also in reference to the hole in the wheel, once the lug nuts are tight there is no contact between the wheel and the lug stud.

Sorry ... you just failed geometry.

It's not only conical... it's comical.

Seriously... just digging you. We aren't dealing with sphere's at all. We are talking about a cone shape.... cone icale conical

I think the correct term is conical...not convex or concave. The lugs have a taper that is the opposite of the wheel. A straight taper, not a curver taper.

The terms are sufficient to describe the shapes and forces in use between the lug nuts and the wheel lug face area. How's the pole going?

DodgeRamTrucks in 50Countries I Visted = -0-

Going from 1500 Ram04 to 2500/3500 Ram 4x4 QC Auto SB Diesel

What is the Mpg DIESEL YOU GUYS GET WITH THE H2 WHEELS AND TIRES? HIGHWAY? CITY? OFFROAD?

AND WE IN THE USA have it GREAT! Even if diesel goes to $4-5 a gallon! The other countries have small trucks with no parts. Trucks have 100-200% taxes on top of the vhicle! Diesel is $5 to $8 a gallon Taxes and fees exceed $1000-3000 a year for a Truck like a Dodge Ram2500-3500 Diesel! I wanted to drive a Dodge Ram 3500 QC 4x4 Auto Diesel through "EUROPE=4MONTHS" or "SO-AMERICA 6MONTHS" or "CHINA/RUSSIA 6-8MONTHS" but the RAM would get tooooo much attention and probably be "CarJacked" in the 1st month according to the Travelers & State Department. At $8/15mpg, that's 50 cents a mile! But the sale of the Ram would recover the Retail Cost. Imagine that, CarJacked by Bandits in Central America, South America, China, Asia and Russia! That's messed up. The only safe countries to be driving a Dodge QC 4x4 Ram Diesel is in USA, CANADA, MEXICO & WESTERN EUROPE! I'm in Finland now, doing 3 months Eastern Europe-15 countries. Been to 50 countries and in the USA we have it "GREAT" Many toys, many states, cheap prices vs. other countries, and unlimited "choices" . I can't wait to get back to California, buy a 2500-3500 Ram QC 4x4 Auto 04-05-06, Get $25,000 IRS tax Write off Section 179 for 2005 year and then go off roading too in 3 Countries (Canada/USA/Mexico). WE HAVE IT TOO GOOD IN THE USA AND NORTH AMERICA!!! TRAVEL & YOU WILL COME BACK TO THE USA AND KISS THE GROUND, THANK THE US CUSTOMS, PAY YOUR TAXES AND ENJOY THE BOARDS VS. ARGUE.... Imagine $30 a month in Asia and Eastern Europe income? Imagine $100k/year with costs of living being 200-300% of usa! That means the $100k is like $33-45k/year in USA. Home costs and living expenses are 100-300% more vs. USA. So, GENTS. Enjoy! We have it super GOOD=GREAT! I'm in California, so can anyone "name a shop" that will Mill the H2 rims for me at a reasonable price?

I love the looks of the H2's on my truck. Everybody has different opinions.
