Got my SRT-10 Pyro installed! A few q's-
Finally got my SRT Pyo installed. Couple questions:
Hit ~1300+ going about 95 MPH up an incline with the EZ on 3. I think I could sustain 1200 degrees no prob. Does that seem high? I have the Ram Air 3 and DPP 4".
I'm surprised at how high the temps are just cruising at 80 MPH...about 900.
Seems like it cooled to 300 pretty fast. That's the safe temp to shut down, right?
Here's some pics, tell me what you think. It's real clean and that's what I was looking for.

how's about a night time view?... i have that pillar in the basement waiting for spring when i get gauges, but i am going to put a boost gauge there. i am getting ultralites [that is what you have right?] and i would like to see how your's looks lit up there at night..
i just need to get some diaphram seals for the fuel & oil pressure gauges i want, so i'll just have antifreeze in the cab...

From my experience with EGT in the 3rd gens, it is directly related to RPM's. So if you were going 90 at full throttle I would bet it is right. When I am loaded heavy going 70 or so I can hold it full trottle up hills in 6th and it never gets much above 1100. But down shift to 5th and bring the rpms up and pull a hill and the EGT starts going up fast.

nickelinonen---I tried to take a night time pic, but I'm not too camera or computer savy, the flash either went off or it was black. It is an autometer gauge, but it's put out by Mopar and says SRT on it.

Could I be so bold as to ask what the parts cost? (PM if you want)
I've been considering the 3 pod pillar thing, but want to keep the grab handle, so I may go with just the pyro...
P.S. Did everything come under the one part number (ZL397LZAA posted on another thread) or was there one part for the pod and another for the gauge, sensor and so on?
Also, I would probably install mine post turbo, since I don't plan on much for bombs, and mainly want to take the guess work out of cooldowns. Do you see any problems with setting up the same parts with the sensor mounted in the turbo outlet elbow (or in my case, the Jake where it won't interfear with the valve)?

after seeing this install, I had to get one. Ordered the SRT A-pillar from the Mopar Parts counter today. The parts salesman said these are going like hot cakes. Portland, OR warehouse is shipping 22 units a week on average! Cost is going to be $42.00 (dealer cost plus 10%).
Not quite sure what brand of Pyro gauge to install. Thinking about either Isspro or Di-Pricol with the white face.

I'm not an expert, but from what I understand putting the probe in the exhaust manifold will give you a more prompt reaction- temp readings climb quickly when RPM's and load are up, and drop quickly when the load is reduced (even though the turbo may still be 1200 degrees, the exhaust coming out of the cylenders is cooler).
Again, someone correct me if my info isn't right, but I've been told that putting the probe post turbo will give readings a couple hundred degrees cooler, and also a reading that reacts more slowly to change in load, being more of an indicator of the turbo's temp which changes more slowly.
Shutdown under 400 or so?

That looks great, Padzz. Does the grab handle on the new pillar work as good as the original one?
Your temps sound about right from what I've seen. I think the stock turbo is about at it's limit on a HO truck with just an EZ.
BTW, does anyone have the part number for just the SRT10 pillar?
Boyd.
