Talking Got more goodies from ThurenFab.....

Took a roadtrip up to Don's shop on Friday and finished up my suspension (for the time being ) with the install of his full leafs and shackle in the rear along with a new valving profile in the rear shocks, and a set of his super squishy bumps in the front. And what a difference! Even with the heavy valving this thing rides way better than stock over anything, and takes the big hits with ease. The rear came down about an inch with the new springs so the truck has a bit of that prerunner look. I'll get some more pics later and I'm hoping to get some video soon also. Just need to find a monkey to hold the camera.....

Thanks Nick!

Definitely going to bring the video camera to Glamis. I'm going to need an extra battery and a slew of mini DVDs for that trip!

And if it works out I'd like to drag the trailer out to your next race and stay the weekend.

Truck looks great Pauly! I've been talking with Don and I may end up with a set of his springs too. Waiting on these King 2.5's from him is killing me!

Don's full pack is about 4" longer than stock, forcing you to use the last hole on the shackle (the one that would make it taller), but because of the extended length of the springs you won't realize any height gain.

As a whole, my Megacab sits somewhere around 1/2"-1" lower than Don's quad cab with virtually the same springs, front and rear. We're pretty sure it's just due to the extra weight of the Megacab. I'm guessing my truck weighs close to 1,000 lbs more than Don's.

No pics yet.

Can't really comment on the bumps yet 'cause I haven't "tested" them yet. Gonna look for something to try them out on this afternoon.

Oh come on, no pictures of the actual goodies! Boo!

What shackle did you get in the rear? Was it to keep it at the same height when the replacement leaves were installed?

Oh, and your truck sits PERFECT. I really regret my 4" bargin lift now(That im now upgrading anyway to get a better ride), but you live and learn...

No more pic yet. Just don't feel like crawling around under the truck right now

The shackle is needed with the longer leaf springs. The factory shackle is too short and would lay back almost parallel with the ground with Don's pack. The longer shackle retains factory angles and allows the longer springs to cycle through a full range of motion without binding.
