Got into 2 accidents today
Pulling out of my parking space I didnt notice that on the other side of my truck someone had parked part way in my parking space so needless to say I hit a parked car. But heres the kicker, just letting the clutch out in second my step bar caught her car and took it with me. It took me 4 or 5 feet to realize I was dragging the car with me. As much as it sucks I found that part pretty funny it really does say something for the cummins engine. Then 2 hours later I got rear ended sitting at a stop light. Luckly I had remembered to put my little 2in ball back in the hitch. Not a scratch on my truck and they must have 1000+ in dammage. Sorry for the long write up I am still just amazed I was unaware of dragging a parked car
And the other thing I have been meaning to ask, my silencer ring is not wanting to come out. Any suggestions on the easiest way to remove it? It is just in way to awkward of a place. I already managed to gut the intake tube(cant wait to really hear that turbo sing)

OMG that is something funny.
Not to say your situation is funny. If there are any damages to your cardragger whatsoever I hope thatyou are able to get them fixed.

Thats not a bad nickname for the truck "Cardragger" lol. Luckly the step bar keep the only damage on the lower portion of the bed in front of the tire. And it just so happens I have a friend who works at a body shop so I will be fixed in a week for half price. Its just kind of sickening my truck was in perfect shape hardly even a scratch in the bed yet

as for the silencer ring, instead of just pulling it straight out, try to close the gap in the ring together, then pull out. it comes out really easy this way..with no marring of the turbo..maybe want to use a screwdriver or needle nose to squeeze the ring together.....less than a minute.

makes you want to go out and do some sled pulling doesn't it. See how easy pulling stuff is LOL!
The ring has a flat side and the other side has a bevel on it. This is where the ring is seperated. You'll never get it out trying to get a hold of the flat side. Get a small thin flat head screw driver and get it under the beveled side and it should pop right out.

I was backing out of my drive and accidentally struck my neighbors Nissan sedan parked on the street. I didn't see it due to a blind spot. I struck the rear drivers side of the car with my rear bumper. Long story short the ins.company totaled out the car. I only had a small dent in my bumper.
I too had someone run into the back of my truck. It struck my hitch with a 2" ball at about 5-10 MPH. No damage to the dodge but sure did a number on the front end of the car.
When not towing I leave the ball hitch on for that very reason.
