Just got my performax gauges from Isspro with two pyrometers. Was going to do one pre turbo on back half of manifold for cyl 4-6 and the other post turbo. now i kind of want to do them both pre turbo with the second one on the front half of the manifold to monitor 1-3. Any worries about two holes in the manifold and where do you think i should drill to get comparable temp readings? usually i see back half dirlled about half way down vertical portion and the front on top of the manifold after #3 comes in.

Post turbo provides little relevant info anyway, I wouldn't waste the time.

you want to place them where you are going to see the highest temps.

I run three pyros myself...

Best place for the two is down on the collector as close to the turbo flange as possible; one on either side of the divider so you can monitor both sets of cylinder banks. No worries about two holes in the manifold.

Place one Pre and one Post, the Pre turbo should be placed in the middle of the exhaust manafold on the back half of the combo pipe. The Post Turbo can be placed on the down turn after the Exhaust brake or in exhaust pipe after the sown turn. You can also hook up the Turbo Shutdown timer off the Post Turbo EGT with it set to about 300-400 degrees. This setup works will let you see what is actually happening to your engine.
