Question Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor USers!????????

Who is usung the Goodyear Silent Armors? What size, what kind of vehicle and how do you like them?

I am seriously considering them in 285/70/17 D rated. My only reason for thinking about them is they are the only D or E rated tire I can get in that size with a treadwear warranty!

But if i get a lot of negative feedback I can always change my mind!

i've got them on my truck... the tires are great and they look good, but 265s arent filling enough space for my taste. you cant hear them at all over the diesel engine. i've got nothing bad to say about them

I'm very happy with mine and deliberated for some time between these and the new Scorpions. I have friends with them on a D-MAX dually, 2500 HD (replaced his Cepeks), and an Excursion, just last week. They are highway tire quiet and have a "soft" feel to them. If they hold up and resist cracking and have good tread wear, then Goodyear will have hit a home run with these tires.

Who cares with a 50K mileage warranty!? I REALLY REALLY WANTED THE SCORPIONS! But the pirelli dealer here has quoted me 4 different mileage warranties on the same tires! None, 40k, 50k, & 60k so I really didn't feel like messing with a group of incompetent people!

I don't know of anyone with a mileage guarantee on a load range E LT tire. I'd make sure I get that in writing with your tire specified on it. Goodyear load range D's are not the same as E's....they won't warranty the tire if the tire is used on a truck with a load range E specified on the door panel...unless they are really tupid. ks

MikeyB,
I called Pirelli and talked to 2 different people. One said 40k warranty and the other said anything over load range C has no mileage warranty!

I had been looking at the ATR's for a long time. I still love the way they look see them a lot on FERDS. But the Pirelli dealer here is so incompetent I don't want him touching my truck even if it is just tires. Unfortunately, I do not have the big chain stores here like you HOuston area guys do.
My Goodyear tire store wants $1160 for the Silent Armor's installed
My independent goodyear dealer wants $935
Toyo At's Load range D 865.31 Nio mileage warranty

About a month ago I installed the goodyear silent armor's and I really like them. Have about 1500 miles on them now. I chose the 325/60/18's and put them on american racing fuel wheels. Total price was $2k. The tires were $1250 for all 4. They look awesome, have great traction, ride smooth. At this point would by them again. A little pricey though.
