Give me your thought about these wheels

I would look for something with more backspace. no sense having something that sticks out if you are still only 8" wide.
It will just cause you to need more lift for a given tire size. I you want the wheel to stick out get some 9.5 or 10" wheels. that is just my opinion though. I mean I stick out more than stock but my wheels are 9.5 wide. they have to.

I think the wheels will look good on that truck. Then again, I'm a fan of dark wheels - especially on that color. But, like said above, the backspace may be a bit of a problem. I think American Racing or Pro Comp just came out with a few new black wheels that aren't really 'bling bling', you may check out the latest off-road adventures mag from 4wheelparts or take a look at their website. I saw an ad somewhere, just don't remember where. Maybe they'll have the correct offset.
I am going with black wheels on my white ram eventually, if I can ever find tires the size I want. I like the Gunner 8's available from Discount Tire, made by MB Motoring. I'll be going that route, in black, 20" - when Toyo makes more Open Country M/T's in the 35x12.5R20
I also like the moto metal 951 in black.
Off Topic: Where abouts are you in San Antonio? I'm on the NorthEast side, actually in Schertz. I've been wanting to ride in a truck with a box on it to try and decide which one to go with. How do you like yours? Any chance you'd spin me around the block if you're in the area? Shoot me a PM.

But seriously, I like the black wheels. I don't like when they stick out. To me it's like a 40-year old woman that wears a crop top and low-rider jeans with an inch of pudge squeezing out the middle. Just doesn't fit right.

Have you considered just having your stockers powdercoated black and keep the chrome centers? No backspacing issues then. That is probably the route im going when funds become available.

I think I like the black rims[IMG][/IMG]
1.5 " of difference in backspace is not alot. My Black rims have 2.5" difference. My Hummer rims have 1.5" and I don't think they stick out enough for my fender flares. If I keep the Hummer rims I plan on getting them Powder coated black before I put new tires on them.
Go for it

As you can see, I got the wheels and they seem to work well with my low profile fender flares. The rear tire is about 0.25" past the flare and the front is a little more past than the rear. Wheels are mounted to BF LT285/70-17 All Terrain TA KO's. Looks much different!

I think I like them too. Gives me another option to consider besides powdercoating the stockers. Nice looking ride Cummins600!
PS.....to Big Blue....My wheels will be black someday whether you like em or not. Once you go Black, you never go back! You know deep down you really like black wheels. Check out Bobcat698's truck or Cquestad's truck or Tomeygun's. All the really good look'n trucks on here have em!

After many days of use I can say the ride is much better now with these wheels and tires. Smoother on the small bumps, more stable at hiway speeds, and lower RPM's all around. I believe the offset change also gives the suspension more leverage for a slightly softer ride.
