Gauges Install Help
Want to get a set of pillar gauges for my 2004.5/2500 CTD that I tow a 10,000lb fifth wheel with. I was quoted $850.00 for a set of 3 gauges and the piller mount and installation. 3 pyrometer gauges include boost, trans and exhaust temps to match the white faced factory gauges. This sure seemed high to me but then again I never had these before and don't know anyone who does to compair. Any help of suggetions?? Anyone in the South Florida area know of a good reliable place to get this done?? Thanks for the help.

the boost and pyro are not hard, didnt have to do the trans with a 6 speed. Only took 2.5 hours and my 7 year old helped!!! Try it yourself. Pm and I will give you the quick and easy on the pyro, I got the info from Banks and laughed when I first heard it, but it works.

Hey that is insane I sell the a pillar boost guage, trans temp gauge and pyro guage white faced all sensors for Edit and I will send you a very well detailed set of instructions this kit has everything you need all wiring and on the pyro best way is to remove your turbo drill and tap there is another way but I dont ever recommend because of liability in owning a business you can actually start the the truck with tailpipe plugged drill hole into manifold and the internal pressure will not allow any shavings to enter the turbo. Keep in mind you need tow people to do this start with getting your whole started with your drill before you penetrate have someone start truck finish drilling turnoff engine tap with quarter inch npt and install pyro

Lots of us were scared to do this ourselves but once we were done we said "What was all that worrying about?" The EGT probe seems to be the one we worry about the most but if you take your time and do it right you will be happy. As far as cost, I've seen many posts about the install costing more than the guages themselves..

nobull60,
Here's the worst that can happen, you get it started and can't finish it. Try it it is pretty easy overall just time consuming as you are learing as you go. We even have a factory built gauge installation wiring harness to make it as easy as possible. Call us and we will get you any info you need, check our site for all the Auto Meters and DiPricol gauges and mounts.

I just finished putting a set of gauges in myself. If you're not comfortable installing yourself find someone to help you. I got Stamey to help me. He served as an excellent technical advisor and was able to help me troubleshoot a few simple problems.
It's bad when you drop fittings into your engine compartment and can't find them
Thanks again Stamey
