Gauge pod not sticking to windshield

I'm at a loss here with my gauge pod continually falling off the windshield. I like having the gauges on the windshield, but can't seem to keep them fastened. The adhesive on the back of the "super deluxe, all-holding, never gonna let go" velcro breaks away from the glass over time.

What are others doing, besides going with the A-pillar solution, to keep the pod firmly mounted to the windshield?

Thanks.

i thought i saw guys that did a small bead of adhesive around the edge, and glued it in place. have you tried the automative 3m double sided tape? its going to start getting hot out and the adhesive will heat up and fail..
