Question Gauge pod, gauges & paint . . . couple questions?

I'm looking at ordering my gauges from Diesel Manor. I'm planning on going with a 3 gauge pillar with Boost, Pyro and Trans Temp and also a 2 gauge dash mount with Rail Pressure and Fuel Pressure. I assume that should be all the gauges I need for now. Now, the questions:

1. Does anyone have pictures of their truck with a 3 pillar gauge mount AND a 2 gauge dash mount? Would like to see how it looks? Anyone with just a dash mount - where'd you mount it?

2. Diesel manor sells paint to paint the dash mount pod to match the dash, since I think it comes in black. Has anyone used their spray can paint? Does it really match and look good?

3. When I take the Edge JA off can I use the exisiting egt probe for my Isspro Pyro gauge?

4. Any suggestions on extra things to order to get the best reliability and accuracy out of the gauges? Thanks!

Thomas

Diesel Manor will send you everything you need to install the gauges.

My pillar came painted and matches well, but the paint will work good too.

Your pyro will come with a new thermocouple, but as long as you got a K type installed already, you can re-used it, and have a spare.

I don't have any pictures of dash gauges for 'ya...sorry.

Yeah I know the pillar comes with the factory finish, but apparently the dash mounted gauge pod will not come with matched finish. Hopefully the spray paint thing works well because I'd really like to avoid having to have a body shop set up to spray one little gauge pod.

What type of thermocouple normally comes with the Edge JA? Or how would I know? Sorry if that's a silly question . . .

I don't know how it is connected to the Edge...that would be the only issue...connecting it to you new gauge.

K type is the calibration of the thermocouple...I'm sure that's what you got.

Sorry about the painted pillar...I didn't know you were talking about the dash pod. It should match up good though...Is it Mopar paint they are sending?

I debated the dash mount but opted for the steering column mount instead. Glad I did. Avoided drilling into the dash and didn't have to paint the pod. It's black like the steering column.

I got the a-pillar pod from diesel manor for my old broken Ferd. The pod can black and I painted it with a can of their spray paint to match the interior. It's almost an exact match. You have to look super hard to see a very small color difference.

I have thought about the steering wheel mount gauges and just didn't really like the way they looked - so I'm leaning toward the dash mount gauges. I don't mind if there is a hole drilled in the dash as long as it looks professional and permanent once installed.

Good to know on the paint.

Anyone have any pictures of dash mounts on their truck?

I just put in the dash pod and it's awsome. I haven't painted it yet, but I will soon. Diesel Manor sends you everything you need, but they want $20 for paint can. I sugjest you buy the trans cooler line mod, it saves you from drilling into you trans pan.

SCCSURF -

What is the trans cooler line mod? I assume that's an additional kit they sell with the trans temp gauge? Did you buy the Diesel Manor paint?

I used the Mopar paint in my '03 Laramie. It matched perfectly. I was sceptical, but was proven wrong. I don't have the three gauge pillar, but this is what my dual pod looked like:

ON EDIT:

Something's not cooperating. Can't post pics...

This is the install on my 05.
The pillar and most of the gauges I got from here.
The steering mount is from Genos.
