Gauge Lighting ?

I'm just curious about my 3 Di-Ppricol gauge lights. I notice the trans temp gauge is perfectly lit like the factory gauge cluster. The EGT and Boost gauge are quite a bit dimmer. Has anyone else noticed a difference in the gauge lights ?

Yeah...I have noticed that the boost was a little dimmer as well, I may try and contact them or Genos and see if they are all like this or if there might be some way of making it a little brighter.

The funny thing is i think the one with the 2 bulbs is the Boost (i think) and the tranny temp is brighter yet. I wonder if i have a weak bulb. Maybe i will pull them all out and take a look see.

Same here as well. The EGT gauge needle is barely visible at night when mounted on the A-pillar. It uses an internal LED to backlight the gauge whereas the boost and trans temp use light bulbs. Trans temp shows up best over all and it only uses one large lamp.

I don't remember which one, but one of them was a lot brighter than the other two. I put a resister in series with the bulb to make them all the same brightness. They are a tad dimmer than the stock gauges, but I like them like that.

Make sure the bulb holders on the Boost are pushed all the way in. If they are back a little, it will make the gauge appear dim. You may also be able to get brighter bulbs. The EGT, make sure the LED leads are connect +VDC dimmer is connected to the black LED lead and ground the white one. If the LED does not illuminate the gauge will be dimmer than it should be.

I have just hooked up my gauges and found the same problem. The tranny is perfect!!! The EGT is GOOD and the boost is lame. I cannot see it very well at night. Has anyone seen a good solution to "brightening"<-----Not sure that's a word. the boost gauge?
