Gauge Install...future Quad Commander question.

Gauge Install...future Quad Commander question.
Greetings all. I've got a set of Di-Pricol gauges coming from Geno's next week and I'm getting amped for the install. Question...in the future I plan on adding a Quad box with the Commander...while I've got it apart, should I drill/tap extra holes in the intake and exhaust for the Commander probes, then plug them until I'm ready to add the Commander so I don't have to do it again in the future? Thanks in advance.

The only thing that needs to be drilled for either install is the exhaust manifold for the thermocouple. We use a 1/8NPT fitting so if that is the same as the di-pricol you do not need to drill an additional hole unless you are going to run the analog and digital at the same time. If that is the case then by all means go ahead and drill the second hole if you want? Make sure you drill the hole for the Commander with a 21/64 drill bit and tap it with a 1/8NPT tap. then plug it accordingly.
For boost with the Pricol gauges I would recommend getting a "boost bolt" that simply replaces one of the intake manifold bolts and has a tapped port on it for a 1/8 compression fitting. For the Commander this is not needed as we use the factory sensor and we will not require you to run a boost hose to the Commander.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
