The part numbers seem to be the same for the turbo kit that fits 1998.5 - 2002 as Garretts website shows for the 2004.5 - 2006. Is this a typo or does in fact the same 37R work on all these year models. It is looking like Tom may be out of them and I called Thoroughbred Diesel and the guy said that that one was for the 2002. I'm far from a turbo expert and these numbers have me confused on which one I need. Thanks in advance.

 

They are different. The compressor housing is the main difference.

Did Tom expect to be out for long?

The turbobygarrett.com site lists them as different for 04-02 and 03-07. The 03-07 Stage 2 is listed as a 759361-11.

 

From what they said, he would be out until the 26th. I would prefer to get the turbo from Tom, but I don't want mine to take a nosedive in the meantime. You can hear the turbine blades dragging when I kill the engine and can tell the truck doesn't have the same power. I was supposed to make a 200 mile roundtrip this weekend to have my boat checked out but canceled for fear of the turbo going bad while going down the interstate at 75 mph.

 

The stage 2 is ordered. Now I'm going to want one of the two piece exhuast kits.
