G56 to NV5600 swap?

Need some info on this, my truck is an 06' QCLB and would like to swap in a NV5600, what do i need to do as far as lengthening and shorting the drive lines and what all would i need to make the swap complete?
Have a friend with an 03' that "may" want to swap.

same here what would the point of that be seeing as the nv5600 is harder to get parts for and the 56 is still being used

It could be he is looking for the gear ratio change to guys....... Ive seen some info on this before Ill try to locate it for you.

Just out of curiousity what is your reasoning for swaping?

I would think if you found somebody to swap with you may be able to just swap everything?? shafts, trans, transfercase, mounts...

it would be much cheaper to change out the gears in the axle or add a over/under drive

Sled pullin is the only reason why im lookin this route, the G56's case just isnt as strong in sled pullin as the NV5600! Other than that i really like the G56, im just kinda lookin into it nothin for sure yet just need some info on the swap.

Seems like just a matter of swapping things out. You need to go over to your buddy's house get the creeper out and have a look see.

Why not just replace the G56 after you break it. (if you can) They are a lot stronger then you think.
And this is a guy that cracked the case on a NV5600

I have pulled 25 plus times on a G56 with over 650 hp and 35 inch rubber in 5 low or 2nd high at it still is fine.

the g 56 is a alum case the nv 5600 is cast iron good reason to to let it go . alum sucks . robbie
