Funny turbo pitch waver.
Took the truck out and laid into it a little. At WOT the pitch of the turbo seems to waver at around 3000 rpm. Is this normal at this rpm? It didn't do it before I put the AFE stage 2 in and pulled the silencer ring.

No. It sounds like the turbo is almost speeding up and slowing down, but I can't tell for sure without a boost gauge.

Mine did that until I took it off to clean it, then when I put it back on I noticed it had stopped. So you could try and reposition it.

My turbo used to surge until I put the XZT on.

That alone smoothed it out.
