Fully built goerend trans is in!!!
First off I would like to thank Dave and the guys over at goerend. They are all very nice and do an amazing job. I would drive out there in a second again to have them do work. I dont want to beat the crap out of it yet, but can already feel the difference when driving. My only question is what level to put the smarty on for the tourque management? I dont think wild would go over very well for daily driving, level 3?
thanks
thanks

It only happens on them when you have too tight of a converter. If you run a 15 Blade Stock Stall (tighter than stock), you usually won't get that code. 15 Blade BLC will set that code at times.

I am running the stock stall converter since it is mostly a stop light truck and daily driver in the summer. I have only put 300 miles on it and it was all highway, but no check engine lights or shift hunting at all. I can't wait to get my airdog installed and turn smarty all the way up. There customer service is the best.

So stock stall you're still shifting at the same RPM's and what not? I was hoping to put something tighter, with a little lower stall to keep the engine in a more efficient power band for city driving? What did Dave have to say about that, if anything?

Dave and I talked about which converter to go with for a while, but in the end the stock stall was better for my needs right now. Shifts at the same RPM's as far as I can tell. City driving and stop lights will be better with stock stall since there wont be much lag. When I decide what turbo set up I am going with for sure I might switch the converter to a tighter one. Thats why I love there customer service, Dave said just come on out and they will switch it out no problem. Gotta love that.
