Fuel Tank Vent Kit Install

Fuel Tank Vent Kit Install
Sorry I don't have any photos, it really wasn't that complex.
I had been told to drop the tank is quite an ordeal. Difficult
for sure but not quite the ordeal I was expecting. I didn't
even lift the truck at all. Took approx 1.5 hours.
Couple notes on things that the instructions don't talk about.
1. The uptake and return lines are easier to remove if you take
the bolts off the straps and let the tank fall to an angle. Just be
sure not to let it go wild or you could break lines/wires.
2. On my truck (2005) there was a little red plastic pin
in the power connector that had to be removed before
the connector could come off. So don't go rippin' on it.
3. Drain that puppy down as much as you can!!!
Mine was pretty heavy and hard to maneuver even
though it only had like 4 gallons left in it.
That all being said, I would highly recommend that if you
have a lift or a willing partner (if not willing offer free beer)
to help you, you lift the bed off. There isn't much holding it.
Look to *****'s write up for his fuel system to see instructions.

So far so good. I'll let you know next fill up how much I can fit in there.

Lovin' it so far, when the pump shuts off the tank is full full full!
I can't even put more than a couple more squirts in there without
overflowing the sucker.
The biggest advantage I like is that now by the time I get to just under
half tank, I've already ran 350 miles. If I ran the tank empty that would
equate to just under 500 miles for me. Much better than before.
