Fuel pressure with walbro

I am going to try and adjust the valve a little but have no idea if that will work. Do you people think it is my dorman fitting but it is 3/8 just like the line? I don't really like the SimFlo Bypass Regulator because the internal parts look cheap. Does any one else have or used one of these?

The other thing to look at would be the filters. I had a similar thing happening to mine when my pre-filter was getting dirty and could not feed enough fuel to the pump. Another time when my stock filter also was restricting the flow.
The pressure would stay up fine under light throttle but would drop quickly when calling for any demand. Changed filters and all was again well.
My setup runs at 19 at idel and will go down to 17-18 when under heavy throttle.

swagelok makes an inline adjustable regulator from 3 to 50 lbs. There is a 1/4 inch size part number B-4cpa2-3 and they make a 1/2 inch size.
