Fuel pressure gauge

im looking at getting gauges for my truck and have some questions

1 banjo bolt-what does this thread into? the cp3? and is threaded so you can run a line from it to the gauge minus the isolator. really dont want the isolator because ive read many dont use it. and if you dont use the banjo bolt do you tee into the fuel line? are there any problem with air in the lines then? sorry about all the questions im just confused on how to hook up a fuel pressure gauge. i want the easiest route and i figure you guys would know best.

Tee into the rubber line between the fuel filter and the CP3. No banjo bolt crap to deal with. One 5/16 tee fitting, 3 clamps, one needle valve and a bunch of hose. Done deal for about 20 bucks. Goes back to stock in about 5 minutes if you ever have a problem. Try that with the banjo bolt.

I used the banjo bolt (pic in gallery; blue hose coming off of CP3) and also used an isolator. Having fuel coming into the cab just seemed like a bad idea to me. The banjo bolt was super easy. Unscrew the factory one, screw in the one with the tap and attach the fittings. Also goes back to stock in five minutes or less, provided you save the stock bolt. Maybe on the '03/04' there was a rubber hose going from the fuel filter canister to the CP3 but on 04.5 there is metal tubing. Not sure about later models.
