Are you going by your overhead counsel? If so you wont get good milage. I get well over 20 MPG, (mind you that is an imperial gallon) I have gotten over 1400 km to a tank of fuel. that is around 26 mpg

are you doing hand calcs or reading your over head? and have you had it adjusted for your 35" tires from the stock ones. i'm getting about 18.5 MPG (overhead) with the stock tires.

I just had the tires installed last week. I was waiting for my stockers to wear down. I always figure by hand. miles divided by fuel burned = MPG. Not a drop over 15mpg.

Make sure that you have your speedo adjusted for the larger tires. I was 3 mpg off before I had my speedo fixed. Have you done anything to your intake?

I was reading almost 18 mpg on the overhead console and was dead on with hand calculation. Now that i have installed the bullydog my overhead is reading 20 mpg and hand calculation is around 16 mpg with the same syle of driving. Bullydog is making it all wacked up now. Whats up with that. I have always hand figured each tank.

It's amazing the differences between truck to truck as to what mileage they get. I have had 21mpg before. And 15.6mpg towing a LQ trailer. But usually the best I do is 18.5mpg and regularly 16 mpg. Towing is usually between 10.5 and 12

I haven't done an intake mod yet but was looking at AEM brute force. I like the way my buddy's AFE stage 2 sounds but good GOD! $400.00+ is a little ridiculous. I have heard many good things about the Brute on this site. I had planned on buying the edge juice w/attitude this week but I think I'll wait and see about this new bully dog tuner/monitor for everything. Sounds good, looks even better. Maybe it'll help my MPG. Keep in mind most of my driving during the week is through town or short distances (15-18 miles) Running back and forth will kill fuel economy. I would really like to know what this rig is capable of getting.

Some of it has to do with warm-up time also. I used to have a 5 mile city/40mile highway drive to work and I would get about 16.5 mpg. When I moved, I had a 1 mile city / 15 mile highway drive (on the same stretch of flat freeway) and I got worse mileage. Anyway, you would be amazed how much of a difference a box and good torque converter will do. My mileage is now up to about 19.5mpg if I drive the speed limit. IF...

Do i need to factor my miles based on larger tire size? Wont the odometer still roll the right amount of miles driven regardless of the tire size? I know my speedo is off but the odometer should not be should it?

The speedometer and odometer are both coming off the same sensor thus anything that makes a difference to one makes a difference to the other.

I did not know that. I did find another post that explained the calculation factor and I hope it is correct? It makes sense but it said to take the larger tire size and divide it by the stock tire size. Use that 1.??? factor to multiply to the actual odometer miles shown on a tank and divide that by the gallons filled. Almost ready for a fill up so I will try it. Based on what I have been getting on a tank I am up around 19 mow not 16 as thought.

I've kept a record over the last year of everything, miles, gallons, engine hours, fuel cost, everything etc... Anywhere inbetween 14-19mpg. It averaged out to 17.4mpg for this past year.
Thats amazing to me, this 1 ton dodge gets better mileage then my 07 chev 1/2 ton gasser that I traded in to get my dodge. Thank god I did that when I did.
Anyways I had a real hand shakers this past week. I drove up to university two weeks ago. Its majority uphill, and we're talking mountains not little hills. Anyways I could tell by my fuel needle that I was getting good mileage. I was lite on the throttle, went slower up climbs, stayed speed limit on flats and down hills. Anyways after that 200 mile drive it worked out to 20.9mpg.
First time I've ever broke 20mpg barrier. I was thrilled, I knew coming home was all down hill and I should do ever better. So I refilled before I left and drove home. Now I drove exactly the way down as I did up, with the majority downhill, even my fuel guage said I had used less fuel on the way down, needle barely after the 7/8 mark, I filled up when I got home. I was shocked it worked out to more gallons then my trip up.
20.8 mpg- uphill cooler day, windows up,
16.4 mpg - downhill, alot warmer with windows down. maybe that hurt alot who knows. Other thing I've been wondering is I went to a smaller gas station this trip down and hope their pump is correct.
