Frontier Gear rear bumper?
For those of you that have the Frontier Diamondback raer bumper, do ya'll think it is heavy duty enough? It seems, from pic's on the computer, that the diamondplate looks rather thin. TIA

I've got one as well and I like it. I will say that I don't like how the trailer connector fits in it. It was also very tight to put on. The inside of the mounts was the exact same as the outside of the frame. The primary reason I went with it is b/c it's one of the few TX bumpers you can keep the factory hitch with.

I will agree that they are better than stock, but there is no BIG PIPE built in to the bumpers.
Hitting a deer at 55 with the following bumpers
Stock = 5k or more damage
Non pipe bumper = replaceing the bumper maybe some other parts 1k or less
Heavy pipe bumper = wash off the blood and move on.

I have a Frontier Rear bumper too. I think it is a whole lot tougher than the stock piece of tin.
The stocker will dent if you just look at it hard.
I agree that the Frontier diamond plate is not as sturdy as a pipe bumper. But then again, you can't use a receiver with the pipe bumpers unless you want to drop down on the "rated" capacity.
I have a Putnam XDR Class V receiver hitch under mine, mounted to the frame, the OEM crosstube, and the Frontier bumber. I am not worried about receiver hitch failure at all!
