Is there a state statute in Texas that requires the use of a brushguard/Ranch Hand type bumper on every pickup truck and SUV in the state? Whenever I am down there it amazes me. We have tons of deer around here, and I don't know of a single person that has a "hereford pusher" as we call them. Maybe we ought to.

Yep it's a law here in Texas. Gotta have them or the Law writes you a big ole fine!
I am a big fan of the Buckstop Bumpers too.....but due to the costs/shipping etc..........I settled for the flimsy little Ranch Hand instead.

ranchhands are far from flimsy!
it should be a law but it isn't...its a Texas ego thing i guess. i can get in a wreck, total the other guy's car, and not have a dent on mine. ofcourse thats only good when its his fault.
i have pushed 7 broke down cars, a 500lb cattle chute, and opened gates with my bumper.
i saw an F350 with a ranchhand plow into a toyota corolla (sp?) on a neighborhood street at 30-35mph. totalled the car and barely bent the ranchhand.
