Front bumper toast...what to do???
#16
This is mine. Custom built by a friend. Solid steel plate with solid bars on the outsides over the headlamps. The tubes in the middle are hollow.
I rearended a baby S-10 pickup a few years ago and did $3800 damage to it. I shoved the bed so hard into the back of the cab, it blew the rear glass out of it. See the little scratch just to the right of the drivers side rubber bumper near the bottom, that was all the damage I received. The $550 I paid for the bumper was well worth the money. I've since added a skid plate underneath of .25 inch plate. It catches two crossmembers.
I feel sorry for the next turd that pulls out in front of me!!!

That is more like it!
And I figured the misplacedtxn would have a Ranch Hand! Them Texans like to keep it in Texas! I'd like to have a Rand Hand for my rear bumper....so I can back over cars as well as run over them in forward gears!

Funny, TRUE, story!
My buddie bought a red '99 dually the same time I bought my '99 black dually, identical trucks. He put a bumper on the front similar to the Ranch Hand from a local vendor. He moves trailer houses. He got his semi stuck with a trailer on it and told his hand, my buddy from Indiana, Jim, to put the tow rope on the front of the pickup and pull. Jim wasn't pulling hard enough so Reyn got on the CB and told him to jerk it. He jerked it. Nothing. Reyn told him, JERK IT! He did. The webbing between the bolt holes on the passenger side ripped out of the frame and turned the bumper lose, as he was hooked to this side. (hook in the middle!) When the bumper came around, it crushed the drivers side fender and then ripped out of the drivers side frame rail. When all the mud settled, there was a Mack truck with a tow rope and a large steel bumper hanging off it! I couldn't believe what I saw. I didn't know whether to cry, laugh, or run. Reyn is only 6'10" and can throw a bale of hay over the barn!
