Fold-a-cover with Factory Bedliner?

Has anyone installed a foldacover on a truck with the factory drop in liner?

I didn't want the drop in, but I wanted an '05 - this was the only Laramie in the state and the dealer had already installed the dropin for another purchaser who then backed out. I had to pay extra for it and didn't even want it!

I was looking to have the tailgate done in Line-x since I can see the scratching going on under the lip, but was thinking maybe keep the factory drop in. Anyone that's installed a foldacover with the drop in please chime in. Wanted to know if you had to cut the section that overlaps the bed near the cab. If not did you get a good water proof/resistant seal?

Thanks in advance.

I have an A.R.E. bed cover with an over-the-rail bed liner. There were no issues on the installation and the water resistant/proof seal was garaunteed just as with no liner. Hope this helps.

Wanted to specify, I'm looking to install with a factory under the rail liner which only protrudes above the rail near the cab and on the tailgate. Seems that there's going to be a gap as the cover tries to seal all the way around.

Steven,

Thanks for the reply. That's what I figured. I posted my drop in for sale in the classifieds, but I get the impression not many folks really like them. If I can sell it I'll get Line-x throughout (can't see throwing it away), otherwise I'll cut it and install the cover.

Thanks,

Ryan
