Flux 3 nozzles???

I've decided to upgrade to flux 3 nozzles. What can I expect for power, black smoke or haze, high egt's?

I can order them from Brown's Diesel for $800 and he will shipp the nozzles to me. I can make the nozzle swap easily. However, I'm curious if I should send my injectors into be serviced and have the nozzles installed that way. That cost is $1175

I'd send them straight to Don at F1 to have them tested and upgraded

I "third" sending them in.

I had flux 3's for quite awhile. I made 748 with them on a mustang dyno once and 708 up at Bully Dog. They were very clean for me, did not haze at idle or cruising but yes you could smoke out an intersection if you wanted to. They did not give overly high egts... but that will be a matter of the rest of your setup. They also were dead quiet at idle.
I can highly recommend them... I was very happy with them.

The "nozzle only" program that we started a few months back was never really announced. Mostly to give us some time to get it off the ground.

I think this could save the end user some money, but some things need to be thought out. If you know the injectors are in good shape and you dont have any reason to think they are damaged then thats a good sign that simply swapping the nozzles might work. Also, I prefer an injection shop do the nozzle swap. I would not expect a high mileage engine to be a good candidate for this program. These injectors just wear at a rate higher than we all got used to with the 12 and VP44 24 valve engines.

I learned a long time ago that you can save money as an end result by not trying to cut corners with certain products. Sending your injectors in to be done the right way rather than just replacing them yourself could end up saving you far more money than if you put the nozzles on yourself.

Sure any body can swap nozzles, but there is more to an injector than just the tips so then you have to ask yourself how much is your piece of mind worth?

Very good point. When it comes to my injectors, I'm not letting anyone touch them but Don. I like the thought of having all of the flow rates checked and balanced.

i have 4.4.'s now and they have less than 1000 miles on them. i am wanting to upgrade to some 5.2's. since you have already done my injectors is there any way to send just the tips in and trade for the larger one's? how much would that cost?

Yes, you call one of his vendors and you ship them straight to Don.
