Well yeah the 04.5+ have an advantage to a certian point, but after you swap out all the thing's on a 03-04 that hold it back all things become equal.

But it takes over $7,000 to get to that point and that's too much for most people to spend just to become equal with a 04.5+

If max HP is you game then there isnt much difference between the two as many people have proven, but not too many people with BIG HP in 06's yet.

D.Wiggs needs to get his rear on some rollers..

I hate to be arguementative....BUT,

With the right settings, a TST with built in pressure (or a MP-8 in the mix), A FASS or GDP Walbro Kit, and a good large single will make 550 hp on a 03-04 HO. You will need a tranny, air and exhaust on both a HO or 600....

I am not sure how much cheaper you can get? Other than Luken's freak truck (no offense Lucas)...very few are topping those numbers with that few of mods on 04.5 trucks and newer either.

I hit numbers in the 500+ with a TsT twins and 80 injectors. I will find out were i can get with a mod cp3 and flux and some water to boot. I have also added a mp-8 and it sure makes the tst a round pakage.

my Stage one does just fine with my Flux 2's - In fact I believe my injector is the hold-back now... I I can maintain 27k up to redline on TST 7/5
-- I need more fuel but earlier

Comparing EH to Flux is apples and oranges in the way the injector effects the rail pressure

Julius's doesn't...so?

He looses rail pressure at any settings above his 598 w/o Smarty or 550ish w/ Smarty. So...I say rail pressure is key...and his EH's are not alowing it to happen. Maybe the 2's will maintain the rail.

I think you need a Smarty to get that fuel ealier...or use one of the Twins TST programs...

7-5? I could never use those settings.

Flux 2's

If I were to get the stage 2 Flux injectors and ran the truck on the 30 H.P. Smarty setting do you think the stock CP3 would be able to keep up? I am looking to upgrade injectors now and would like to get the 2's and then upgrade to a Floor-It stage 2 in the future but cannot afford to do both at the same time.

Any suggestions?

I dont think LUKENs truck is a freak truck. Common rails are awesome. Im building and 06 0 miles with everything on it and definatly expect to be well over 700 on #2 only. GO common rails

Ive been wondering the exact same thing. Is your truck a 305/555 or 325/600?

You do not get get it...he simply stacked a SLDL with a TST...pumped up his lift pressure and bolted on a SPS66...and 650 hp? His truck is rare...by at least 50 hp.

Common Rails are awesome...I enjoy one daily.

With the Smarty alone, you would not have any issues at all with rail pressure drop and the Flux 2's

Do pressure boxes help keep rail pressure up? Like if there was an issue with rail pressure you could run a pressure box (not turned way up but maybe like the MP-8 on 50%) to help? Or am i thinking about this the wrong way? I figured since its not a good idea to run a pressure box with an upgraded CP3, especially after knowing what it did to D. Wiggs injectors, that they both raise rail pressure.

Yes and no...

Presure boxs just demand more pressure and pressure sooner than the OEM fuel map...they can not make more presure than the CP3 is able to produce.

The MP-8 did not eat DW's injectors...the wrong settings did.

The plan is simple...maintain 24-27 at WOT and you will make your best power. You will need a rail gauge to monitor....

Amen. In my opinion the MP-8 set RIGHT is the ticket! I love mine

How about a TST and VA C3.1? I am in the same boat moneywise?

I am not necessarily looking for a huge power increase(until I get the pump), just driveable w/o major issues until I can scrounge the money for a pump.
