Where did you get the damper and pulley for that price?
I need to upgrade because I think the rubber in my damper has hardened and I am getting more vibes than it used to have.

I now have the fluid damper and pully with new bolts. I have read up on the installation and know the torque on the bolts.
My question is, should I use thread lock on the bolts or not? If so should I use the blue or the red.

I replaced the fan clutch last year and now I have not been able to get it loose. I have the wrenches to remove it and the spanner keeps slipping on the nut. I made some spacers to fit on the spanner and had to tap it onto the nut. Still slips. Bro-in-law has a 17 in long chisel, I have a big hammer, he is bringing it over. We well see if it works to get if it loose without destroying the nut.
The 6.7 fluid damper is 9 3/4 inches in diameter and the 5.9 is 9 inches. The fan pulley has to be replaced with one that is a little smaller to clear the damper. Correction it is the same diameter but has an offset to clear the dampner
Thought this would be an easy job to complete. A one to two hour job. Getting that fan loose is turning into a tough job and a lot longer than I thought.
5 blows with the chisel and it was loose. Had to drop the fan some to get the pully clear and out. Next trying to line up the bolt holes in the pully and the shaft with the shaft turning easily was a trick. Used a pin to find the first hole, by feel got the first bolt in, then it was easy.
Taking a break, it has been 5 hours so far. 4 hours to get the fan loose. The dampner comes off next.

I used an air hammer / chisel. You can buy one at home depot or lowes for around $25. Literally took me 5 seconds to get it off. Theres a youtube video out there that shows how to do it

2 hours later job complete with test drive. Much smoother and it quitened a lot the gear growl in the lower gears at low RPM, but did not eliminate it.
the rubber in the old dampner was starting to fail.
Thanks guys for all the help and advice.

Mine did the same, it's now more of an audible growl, and not the seat vibrating growl it was before. I did a some slow speed towing this weekend for about 60 miles of FS roads, my 1200-1500 rpm range is useable again. Not at quiet at 1500+, but useable none the less.

There was no lock-tight on the original bolts. I know that lock-tight can mess with torque values so I dicided not to use anything. I will recheck the tightness after I run it awhile.
I did put some antisieze on the fan clutch.
