flashpaq with stock auto tranny
I got a free flashpaq from a friend who traded up.
I am currently running on TOW. Do I need to worry about the stock tranny or not having egt gauge?
Thanks.

I have about 25000 mi. running on tow setting pulling a 16500 lb. fiver, on a stock tranny. Deep pan and 30000 mi. flush on tranny, it will stay together. It's a pretty tough box.

I have been running the Flashpaq for over 60k now with 37's with no problems. I like Roger have now changed my fluid every 30k. BTW, I rarely tow. Mainly commuter and 4 wheeling.
As far as the gauges go, I do not have any. I know I am going to get flamed on that one. I keep meaning to do it, but have never gotten around to it. I don't drive hard. Yes I put my foot in it sometimes and have fun, but for the most part I drive normal. I put the unit on for mileage and to compensate for the loss of power due to the larger tires. If I was towing more I would have gauges. In fact the couple of times I have towed a large load I have put the Flashpaq back to stock. Didn't want to melt something!

I have run my flashpaq on the stock tranny in tow mode for about 30k miles.I only recently switched to the performance mode to whoop some pesky powerchokes. With the tow mode, pulling, racing or anything I never saw EGT's above 1350(pre-turbo).And those were very quick spikes on long hills. It is real safe.Tranny temps do good too.It also ran real good there.Enjoy.
