First time on the dyno

First time on the dyno

Well first run the dyno this weekend at Bowling Green. With the smarty on level 9 and the tsmp8 on 50% and tst on power 2 torq 0 it layed down 505hp and 856torque. With tst on power 3 torq 0 it layed down 515hp and 881torque. With tst on power 3 and torq on 1 it layed down 516hp and 880torque.

I will try it again at IRP I believe I might be able to get close to 550hp with the tst on power 4 and torque on 0. Anybody got any better ideas for my settings???

Something I forgot to add. My tst has adjustable timing. I put it on manual and put it at 6 degrees. I am going to leave it on Auto timing at IRP.

Are you running out of fuel and what are you egt's?

My egt's are not above 1200 degrees. I don't think its running out of fuel as its not popping on those settings. I'm just not sure where to set everything but I guess I'll just keep messing with it. My torque #s didn't seem very high to me? I was pleased with the hp for being the first time on the dyno, but I don't think I have found all the right settings yet.

Not trying to sound rude, but with those HP numbers, your TQ numbers sound VERY low...you should be a couple hundred higher than that...

I thought the same thing. Torque seemed very low.

May have lost some of the torque by having the tst on manual timing and the setting on 6 degrees

crazy larry stacked with a TST on 2/0 with no timing made 527hp.....also my first time ever on the dyno. I had a SPS 62/14 on my truck at the time....NO pressure added. TST 3/0 on my truck lost 8hp.

EGT's are only 1200?

I tried smarty/TST for a while....it was alot hotter and i wasn't adding pressure!

A lot of that depends on what dyno its on though. I don't take a lot out of other peoples numbers unless its on the dyno I was on.

valid opinion. your numbers do seem low to me....i was on a dynojet.
