Thumbs up Finally tried the Extreme RKL tune w/ the Predator.

WOW!! Just when I thought the bottom end was perfect with the Predator on Perf and the Puck on 60hp I tried the Regular RKL tune without the puck. I assume the regular tunes (non-stacker tunes) add some pressure so that's why I turned the Puck off. The truck runs so much better this way. It does smoke a bit more. Does that mean it's broke?
Anyways, I did make an interesting observation this morning. While running the Extreme RKL non-stack tune my fuel pressure does not pull down nearly as much when I get on it hard as it did while running the Stack tunes w/ the Puck.

Now the big question is, How will the truck react if I were to turn the Puck back on????? I'm afraid I might get too much pressure...

the predator has a rail pressure gage in it.try it and see,if you dont get a cel you should be ok.unfortunatly you will need to do some math, the rail presure is in mpa for some reason.

The Predator I have does not have all those data options for some reason. Maybe he'll get to that one of these days for the 07 owners....

I'm seeing higher pressures. While cruising when I was normally at 10-12,000psi, now I'm at 15-16,000. Something around there...

Is there a "simple" equation to go from mpa to psi? Haven't searched around for it yet, figured I would ask. I am interested to try this out and see what kind of readings I am seeing.

scratch that, PSI = MPA X 145.0377

just fyi...

I compared the rail pressure of the Extreme RKL vs Extreme RKL Stacker tunes on my U7131 and got the same readings from both, which are:

1,000RPM - 10,200PSI
1,500RPM - 12,600PSI
2,000RPM - 16,200PSI
2,500RPM - 19,600PSI
3,000RPM - 23,500PSI

Needless to say I'm running the regular Extreme RKL tunes as it's quite a bit more powerful then the stacker tune and haven't had any issues running it with my PowerPDA.

Good Luck!

That's good info Megabomb. Looks like the pressures are well in check.

I thought I would have had all those options too but it does not show up when I plug the Predator in. I can clear codes and read them. That's it....

Please tell me how you go about pulling and reading those numbers. The directions are a little lacking....

So what's the difference between the RKL and the regular extreeme? I loaded the regular extreeme and yeah, the bottom end is NICE! Almost feels like I got a tighter converter..

EGT's get crazy though on my rig..
