Finally installed my leveling kit
I took off work today so I could get this leveling kit in before the cold weather hits and it worked out really well. It's just the 2" inch spacers that I got from Hellbent Steel for $79, but the truck sure does look better without that rake. I had to raise my seat up a little after I got it installed so I could see over the dash. I thought installing the spacers was a little bit hard seeing as this was the first one I ever done, but it still only took about 4 1/2 hours to complete the job. It would have been a whole lot easier if I had a better floor jack and a concrete floor to work on, but oh well, it all worked out. The instructions said to drive directly to an alignment shop and I called all around town to try to find a place that would do it, but every shop I called said my truck was too big for their alignment rack. What's up with that? I live in a small town so I guess I could call some of the big city shops. Any one else ever run into this issue? I wonder if they were telling the truth or just don't want to do it.

Did mine 2.5 years ago and never alighed it. The only thing I noticed was my steering wheel was off a little. Fixed that by 1/2 turn on the adjustment. My tire ware is even, or should I say there isnt any.

Noticed today on the way to work that my steering wheel was a little bit off (to the left a tad), but it runs straight down the road. My tires are brand new so I don't want to hurt them. I guess it will be okay. How do you adjust to correct the steering wheel problem? Is there anything else that the lift changes on your truck? It looks like all the lines and hoses have enough slack. Is there anything I need to look at or change?

Make sure the sway bars and shocks are disconected, and take the bottle jack from under the passenger seat and place between frame and axle. You then can open the jack and have enough room to work.
