fass system installed, first test drive
Well i finally had the time to install my fass system, i went with the 95 gph model.
The installation went smooth it took me about 4 hours start to finish including redoing my fuel pressure gauge.
when i first turn on the key fuel pressure rises to 6 psi, after truck starts it takes about 15 seconds and the fuel pressure sits at 17 psi at idle,
I set my TST on 4-4 and went for a test drive, cruising egts were down 50 degf don't ask me why i have no clue. full throttle egt's are another story, before fass full throttle run on 4-4 would suck fuel pressure to 0-1 psi and egts would be a managable 1300-1350 up to 90 to 100 mph, with the fass my fuel pressure now will not drop bellow 16psi and the egt will go thru the roof quik and seat of the pants feel is also much better, the extra fuel is really doing it's thing, i think i see a turbo in the near future.
Question: for ya'll with the fass systems, what did you do with the factory filter canister, fuel lines and pump leave them or remove??

I just left the lines and pump in place.

The FASS will work better if you get the power feed off the stock harness and onto a relay system. The stock system is hard on the brushes. On a relay system the key on pressure will be the same as the run pressure.

The new F.A.S.S. Wiring harness Is wired with relays and a water tite fuse that sit under the hood, the power for the Pump is then fed with a set of 12 gauge wires fed thru the relay directly from the batteries.
