Question FASS & New Truck Warranty??

I really want to install a FASS right away but I'm worried that Dodge would void my 160,000 Cummins warranty. Does this sound like a legit worry or should I just go ahead and do it?? Has anyone ran into this problem. Thanks guys...

every dealer is different. mine does not void over an aftermarket system like FASS, unless it's failure caused the problem. i know of other dealerships that will void, because they say you are no longer within dodge's specs for the fuel system, and they will no longer be responsible for cp3 or injector failure.

my dealer liked the idea. They actually admired the clean install and quiet sound.

When my truck was eating CP3's the dealer had to go to a regional rep to approve each warranty repair. The regional guy told me he'd void me for a FASS. That's on my Dodge 7x70 which is gone now. Not sure how they enforce Cummins warranty... but that doesn't include the fuel delivery system does it?

My warranty was voided at 10K because of my fass. I had a bad injector and they told me they couldn't test the fuel pressure. Total bill $1100. One month later I had 2 more go and changed all 6 with industrial injection injectors for $800 no problems since with 41K on it now.

Always a day late, and a dollar short.

Always ask the service tech before you add parts. I had one tell me he was happy I replaced the stock lp. They're 5000% better than stock, because of better fuel delivery and the 2 micron filter.

Asking them ahead of time works well, but sometimes there can be a downside to having stuff approved by your current dealer, like if the service dept changes management staff, the new people might not approve of mods the way the old staff did.

It happened to me with a GMC gasser a few years back.
