FASS install question's for those who kept factory filter

I'm looking over my kit before I install it and have a few question's. I got the 95 with filter's. Look at the pic below. It's the block off plate that goes on back of the filter housing.

1. Are you supposed to use a o-ring or something in between the plate and filter housing. Mine didn't come with one, and it seem's to me like that will leak. Or is there maybe something on the old lift pump I'm supposed to use.

2. Did you use the 90* fitting in the pic, or do you need a straight fitting.

3. Where did you get power. I've read several set's of install direction's, and they all say something differant. The one's that came in my kit say's hook straight to the battery. While on DPP's website, it say's go to the fuse box. Just wondering if you guy's have found one spot to be better than the other.

4. Did your kit's come with the block off plate and heater. Mine didn't. I've read differant guy's saying their kit came with this or that. I watched the dealer open the box, and those item's were not in there. He said the plate only come's with the "just pump, no filter's kit". I'm not worried about the heater because I'm using the factory one. But I did have to pay extra for the plate.

5. Anyone use the bigger pick up tube. Anyone have a 95 pump that seem's too noisy. I was debating the bigger tube, but then decided I'll be lucky to get what I have now intalled. Kinda rough on an old fat guy with no garage out in the cold.

6. Any tip's. Did you guy's run into anything you'd like to pass along.

Thank's in advance.

I don't have a FASS, but when you remove the stock lift pump there's a nipple on it that looks like the nipple on that adapter plate. There's also an O-ring on that nipple. Just re-use the stock O-ring.

No O ring is supplied with that adapter, You re-use the one inside of the port just be careful not to pinch it when installing the adapter.

Mine is hooked to the cigar lighter fuse, so it runs with the key. Id rather run it straight from battery to a relay keyed off the stock lift pump. ks
