Anybody running a fuel heater? The fass diagram shows a port I never noticed that is labeled as fuel heater. I think I would feel alot better about removing the grid heater if I had that.

Then again wasnt there an air remover of filter or something that diesel power was advertising that also had a fuel heater that clamped inline?

The FASS fuel heater is coolant based so you need to run a coolant feed and return line....The FASS circulates alot of extra fuel which warms up the fuel on its own....I've started the truck at -40 with no grid heaters.....The only time I wasn't able to start the truck was when it was -26 C and the truck hadn't been driven in a couple days...and the batteries were frozen...I hooked up a hot battery and it started on the first second of crank...with some Howes and isopropyl antigel. If the FASS can pump it the truck will burn it...Kerry

I was thinking of the -40 actual temp in minnesota where my fuel froze up but I guess that was before the fass. And no winter fuel.

Even with fuel heaters the fuel in the lines will freeze....At least howes if not Isopropyl will keep it rolling. KS
