I just lately started seeing a lot of air dog. Are they new? I see a couple people have them on here.. Any trouble with the kits? Im looking to do a fuel system really soon and just don't know if I should go fass or something else..

 

Either of those will work fine. If you want the finest, go WalbroGSL392.

 

Air Dog has been around for quite a while. They have just recently had a major come back. People that have ran them for years, have never complained about them because they have not had any problems! That is why you have not heard much. I personally run one and like it.

 

Well I think either of the two would serve you just fine. I have a FASS hpfp and I never need to look at my fuel pressure gauge cause of it...

Wheres the best place to get them from? Are they hard to install? The fass removes the stock filter housing and all. Does the air dog do that also? Seems like people are having trouble with the instructions not being so self explanatory.. Just curious I don't wanna get it and them get stuck trying to figure out how to put it on.

 

easy install....yes the AD bypasses the stock filter...you can leave it on the truck or take it off but if you take it off you have to get a filter eliminator kit from GDP...or make something your self...
they are not hard to install at all....

 

Would it be best just to leave the stock filter on the truck? It won't be functional anymore though right? Where does everyone mount the air dog pump at? Putting the aftermarket pump on the truck deletes the factory fuel heater don't it?

 

Can I ask why a Walbro pump isn't even considered?

Doesn't matter to me but just gets me wondering. Lately I see a lot of Airdog/Fass questions and not much about the little pump that could...

If the Walbro is out of style now, I'll just stay out of these threads.

I spoke with Richard about his walbro setup had done all the reading I could, was ready to purchase the kit and have now decided to go with the airdog also. For about the same price you can run straight fuel (without air) or upwards of a 10% air in fuel (the average air/fuel mixture that diesel holds)


The reason I think AirDog has caught on is because if the compact size (which the Walbro also offers) but more than that the fact of removing the air from the fuel.



Air in the fuel is not a good thing and I believe its best to get it out!!!!!!!

I agree and this is why i went with the AirDog, plus the price of these things are at a SMOKEIN price!! Just plain hard to pass up!!
