FASS 50psi kit for 150gph

OK I got my 50psi kit for my FASS. Tiny little spring. A return line regulator and gauge bunch of brass fittings. Anybody do this. I want to do it under the hood and have the gauge and regulator able to come out of the hood cowl on the driver side so that I can adjust it while dynoing or tuning. Is there a post somewhere detailing how this is best done. And where does the pressure spring go. This is a stop gap measure until the FASS GODS deliver me a 200gph setup that will feed my need for speed. Thanks ks

How did i miss this one......

Here are the MAX pressures for the FASS kits:

95 GPH: 80 PSI

150 GPH: apx 30 PSI

200 GPH: 80 PSI

"B" base (95 GPH pump) with an EM-1002 Motor: 130+ PSI

Any higher pressure will put the motor over its designed amperage rateing and decrease the life of the motor.......

You have the right idea of getting the 200 GPH kit.....

Unless you have the larger EM 1002 motor a spring is not gonna do you any good.Might be cheaper to sale the pump you have and upgrade to the larger pumps.Ask Diesel Dan.They have pumps for 12V pressure needs,in the 45psi range

Hello abc4yew,

from this info:

"Here are the MAX pressures for the FASS kits:

It appears that the 95 and 150 motors are similar with different pumps added. homewrecker is correct the spring will not due you any good. More spring pressure does get you more volume on the same pump. If you truly need more volume then a larger spec. lift pump is needed.

Unless you are going to keep your P-pump on the light side of fun....the 95 GPH might not be the best option for you.

BUT the pump can push the 45 PSI a P-Pump needs. The spring needed for a 150 series FASS is a PS-1013 and a spring needed for a 95 Series FASS is a PS-1020

Well its not so much on the light side the pump has been to columbus... but i guess ill take my chances with tryin the spring kit before i just go ahead and get a new pump all around. Can i get that spring kit from any fass dealer? Casue i have called a few places and the places i called didnt really have any idea what i was tlaking about.

If you have a 95 GPH, 200 GPH or 120 GPH.....not the 150 GPH...for resaons above:

Here are the MAX pressures for the FASS kits:

95 GPH: 80 PSI

150 GPH: apx 30 PSI (Cant run a P-Pump)

200 GPH: 80 PSI

"B" base (120 GPH pump) with an EM-1002 Motor: 130+ PSI

Any higher pressure will put the motor over its designed amperage rateing and decrease the life of the motor.......

You have the right idea of getting the 200 GPH kit.....

Any FASS Dealer should be able to help. Infact its been a wasted spring in many 1008 and 1007 kit installs....(COmes in the mounting package..but is not used) SO they might have a few just lying around. Best thing is to call and ask...if anything you can have them order one.

WELL you CANT get a 150 GPH pump to push 45 PSI...wont work.

If you are looking for more volume, 200 GPH pump upgrade and a suciton tube kit needs to be on your list. YOu can try and see if your 95 GPH will work....but my hopes are not real high if your pump has been to a pump shop.....
