Well the FASS has a water separator on the suciton side of the pump that takes care of this. (I would assume the AD the same) SO on these pumps its not needed. Only on our HPFP its needed.

I suggest a NAPA 3248 1/2 inline 144um strainer.

Thanks! i suppose thats the part number, or? ill see if i can get it at the new napa store in town...

Indeed. I heard the FASS and the Airdog were pretty much exactly the same, just a father and son having a urinating contest with companies. So if the FASS tech recommends it as a must, ipso facto, you get it.

Got the strainer...

I have a problem now, like i mentioned i made my own special quiete mount. and it was pretty quiete too...

now it starts getting very noisy (the pump itself) is that a common problem with the fass?
what does that indicate?

WELL.....did you put a draw tube in the tank? OR are you pulling through the in-tank pump?

yep ended up putting in a 1/2" draw tube and 1/2 fuel line all the way to the fuel filter, from there lines are stock.

is there some kind of overflow valve that would make this noise, or return too uch fuel, cuz i was surprised, now that i put aon a fp gauge, it reads 16 at idle, and pulls down to 8 psi on at WOT kill.

is there a way to know if the pump is bad, or to adjust the pressure for more pressure, cuz i bought it for a 150 gph pump and i thought they are all 45 psi.
