A simple and cheap option
I bought my son a $5 adapter from wally world for his IPod that works through the cassette deck in his Jeep.
I didn't expect much, but it worked fine and sounded pretty good so I bought another one for my truck. I leave it in the stereo and it will occasionally sound a bit "off" when I start listening, but I just eject and reinsert the adapter and it sounds fine again.

I installed the adapter from PIE a few years ago on my 2005 to hook up satellite radio. It also works with an I-pod or phone to play music through. It was an easy hook up. Plugged into the jack in the back of the radio that the CD changer would plug into.

PIE? Makes me hungry, LOL
Where did you buy it? Do you remember the model of the one you bought? My radio is a 6disc unit. Will it have the plug in back? Thanks

I think you want the model number CHRY02-AUX . Yes you will need to pull the dash to connect to the back of the radio. It wasn't that bad. After it is hooked up you just push the mode button on the radio and it will show the CD changer which will now play whatever you plug into the cable. Do youj actually have the CD changer in the vehicle? If you do I don't think you can use both. Your changer would be unplugged to plug the adaptor in.
Can buy it from Amazon

No I think my radio holds 6 cds in it? I know on my build sheet it states it has a 6cd radio. So I buy the adapter, take off my dash face, remove the radio, unplug the 10 pin connector, install the aux plug into the radio, then plug the truck harness into the aux system? Do I need to buy the little port then?

I would check with PIE to make sure it will work. I think it will only work with the radio that has the external CD changer. Have you ever tried to put six CD's in the radio?

I have had the truck for almost a month and have only driven it three times. The test drive, the drive home, and then the next day to take to the car wash to clean off all the salt from the road. I did check this morning and yes it holds the cd's. According to Pie's website the chry setup doesnt work with my radio

No cassette player - oh well, it was worth a shot!
Another option to look into is a company called Neo Car Audio, they show an adapter that should work. I have no idea about the quality of their products, just something I found while searching for a set up for my truck.
